  Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

  The book I would give to anyone. A story that reads like a children's book but hits differently every time you come back to it as an adult. It is about curiosity, about what we lose when we grow up, and about the things that matter that we forget to see. Being French, this one is personal. Saint-Exupéry wrote it far from home, and you can feel that in every page.

  Raymond Loewy

  Raymond Loewy is the father of industrial design. He designed the Coca-Cola bottle, the Shell logo, the Lucky Strike packaging, NASA interiors. This book is his autobiography and his philosophy — that beauty and function are not opposites, that how something looks is inseparable from how well it works. It changed how I see everything around me.

  

• The Odyssey

  Homer

  One of the oldest stories in the world and still one of the most human. A man trying to find his way home against every obstacle imaginable. What makes it last is not the monsters or the gods but the idea underneath it all: that the journey shapes you more than the destination. I think about that a lot.
